Textiles again this week. These little cross-body pouch bags are each made with silk dupioni fabrics, which are available in bright colours, and the thick threads give texture. Silk is a protein fibre, and has a high tensile strength. These bags are reinforced inside for added strength, lined with silk dupioni, and have a pocket on the inside for credit or business cards. Some of the pouches are made with a combination of silk dupioni solids, and my digitally printed cottons, as used in the brush rolls.
